Intercultural Training:
Beginning in 1974 IIM offered intercultural training programs to professionals of various public and private institutions as well to NGOs and community groups. These programs were designed to respond to the needs and concerns of a diversity of social actors who are confronted with different forms of diversity (religious, cultural, racial, etc.) in their workplaces and help them to provide culturally adequate services in pluriethnic settings.
General Goals and Approach:
- To help participants develop skills to understand persons, families and communities of diverse religious, cultural and racial backgrounds.
- To help acquire intercultural competencies to work in a pluriethnic settings.
- To invite participants/social actors to seek alternatives.
